Lash Lift Auckland
A considered keratin lash lift and tint at En Beauty, Northcote

A keratin lash lift is the most effortless way to transform your natural lashes. No extensions, no daily curling, no mascara, just beautifully lifted lashes that last six to eight weeks.
At En Beauty in Northcote, every lash lift is performed by a trained team member, with the keratin formula matched to your individual lashes and the lift shaped to your natural curl and eye structure. The result is a wide-eyed, polished look that requires almost no maintenance.

What is a keratin lash lift?
Also called an eyelash lift, a keratin lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that reshapes your natural lashes from the base, giving them a lifted, curled appearance that holds for six to eight weeks. Unlike lash extensions, nothing is added; the treatment works entirely with the lashes you already have.
At En Beauty, the keratin formula chosen depends on the lashes themselves. Our team works with the highest quality keratin solutions from around the world, matching the formula to the gentlest action for your individual eyelashes. The aim is consistent: lashes that look thicker, healthier and more defined, not just curled.
Most clients pair the lift with a lash tint, which darkens the lashes for a mascara-free finish. Together, the keratin lash lift and tint is one of the most low-maintenance eyelash treatments available in Auckland.

Why choose a lash lift over extensions.
A lash lift suits anyone who wants their natural lashes to look their best with minimal upkeep. There is nothing to fill, refresh or remove. The result lasts six to eight weeks with no infill appointments and no daily curling. For active lifestyles, frequent travel, or simply preferring a less involved routine, a keratin lash lift is the more practical choice. If you'd like a deeper comparison between the two, our guide breaks down both treatments in detail.
What happens at your appointment
A lash lift appointment at En Beauty is relaxed and unhurried. The treatment takes around 45–60 minutes from start to finish.
-
Consultation - lash length, curl type and desired result are assessed
-
Preparation - lashes are cleansed and a silicone rod is placed to shape the lift
-
Keratin lift solution - applied and left to process; you relax with eyes closed
-
Setting solution - locks the new shape in place
-
Tint (if included) - lashes are tinted for a darker, mascara-free finish
-
Nourishing serum - applied to condition and strengthen the lash
-
Final reveal - the silicone rod is removed and lashes are brushed into place
Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment. After that, no special maintenance is required.

Lash lift aftercare
The first 24 hours after your appointment are the most important for getting the full life out of your lift. The keratin formula needs that window to set fully into the lash structure.
The first 24 hours:
-
No water on the lashes, including showers, swimming or saunas
-
No steam, including hot showers, cooking steam or facial steamers
-
No oil-based products near the eyes, including cleansers, moisturisers or eye creams
-
No mascara
-
No rubbing or pressing the eyes
After 24 hours:
-
You can shower, swim and wash your face as normal
-
A non-waterproof mascara is fine if you want extra darkness, though most clients find they don't need it
-
Continue avoiding heavy oil-based products around the eye area, as oil breaks down the keratin bond and shortens the lift
-
A lash conditioning serum, applied morning and evening, helps maintain the look and the health of your lashes
Brushing the lashes:
Once a day with a clean spoolie, brushing your eyelashes upward, helps the lift hold its shape and prevents lashes from criss-crossing as they regrow.
Sleeping:
Where possible, avoid sleeping face-down. A silk pillowcase reduces friction on the eyelashes overnight and noticeably extends the life of the lift.
If the lashes feel dry or brittle at any point in the eight weeks, a single drop of castor oil applied to the lash line at night helps restore softness without breaking down the lift.
Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment. After that, no special maintenance is required.
Who a keratin lash lift suits
A lash lift, sometimes called an eyelash lift, is one of the most universally flattering lash treatments available, but it suits some clients better than others. Our team assesses your lashes during the consultation and lets you know honestly whether a lift is the right call. As a guide:
-
A lift suits clients who want lashes that look their best with very little daily upkeep. The look reads as your own lashes, only opened up. Ideal for active lifestyles, swimmers, gym goers and anyone who finds extensions inconvenient.
-
A lift suits clients with naturally straight or downward-pointing lashes. The treatment redirects them upward without curlers, mascara or daily reshaping.
-
A lift suits clients giving their natural lashes a break from extensions. The keratin formula conditions while it lifts, supporting recovery without leaving you with bare lashes for six to eight weeks.
-
A lift suits clients who prefer a quieter look. The result is definition without volume, lifted lashes without weight.
There are clients we will redirect away from a lift. If your lashes are very short, very fine, or have been compromised, a lift may not give the result you want. In that case we will discuss alternatives during the consultation, whether that is a different treatment or a period of recovery first.
Every set is shaped to the eye in front of us, not to a template.

How long does a lash lift last
A keratin lash lift, sometimes called an eyelash lift, typically lasts six to eight weeks. After that, you will not see the lift drop suddenly. Instead, your natural eyelashes shed and regrow on their normal cycle, and the lifted look gradually softens as new untreated lashes come through.
Three things determine how long the lift holds for you.
-
Your natural lash growth cycle. Eyelashes shed and regrow over roughly six to eight weeks, with each lash on its own timeline. Clients with faster growth cycles may see a slightly shorter lift duration, simply because the lifted lashes are replaced sooner.
-
Aftercare in the first 24 hours. The lift sets fully in the day after your appointment. Avoiding water, steam and oils during this window is the single biggest factor in getting the full eight weeks rather than five or six.
-
Daily habits over the eight weeks. Oil-based skincare, sleeping face-down on cotton pillowcases, and rubbing the eyes when removing makeup all shorten lift duration. Switching to silk pillowcases and a gentle eye-makeup remover protects the lift and extends it.
Most clients book their next lift around the seven-week mark, when the look is starting to soften but before the lift has fully come out. We will book your next appointment at the right interval for your individual lash cycle.

Izumi is amazing! I’ve been to so many different beauty therapists for my lashes and brows, but no one compares to her. She’s a perfectionist who always delivers exactly what you ask for, and she’s such a lovely person to be around. Her new salon is beautiful and so welcoming. I always get compliments on my brows and lashes, and I’ve recommended her to several of my friends. She truly is the best in the business! I also highly recommend the Meridian Face Lift, it was my first time trying it, and it left my face feeling so relaxed and noticeably depuffed.

Lash lift in Auckland and the North Shore
En Beauty is based at B2/129 Onewa Road, Northcote, with free parking directly out front. The studio sits a short drive from Takapuna, Birkenhead, Devonport and Albany, and clients regularly travel from central Auckland and the wider region for our lash work.
Lash lift appointments take 45 to 60 minutes from start to finish. Most clients book in pairs with a brow treatment or a Japanese facial to make the most of the visit, though there is no obligation to combine.
If you are travelling for the appointment, we recommend allowing time before and after. Lash lifts done well take time. The keratin formula needs to set into the lash properly, and the consultation should not feel rushed. Our team books appointments at intervals that allow for both.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a lash lift last?
A keratin lash lift typically lasts 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and aftercare. Most clients book every 6–8 weeks to keep their lashes looking their best.
Does a lash lift damage natural lashes?
When performed correctly, a lash lift does not damage natural lashes. The keratin formula used at En Beauty conditions and strengthens the lash as it processes. Damage can occur with over-processing or incorrect technique, which is why choosing a trained, experienced therapist matters.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
You can, but most clients find they don’t need to. The combination of a lift and tint gives a mascara-like finish that lasts weeks. If you do wear mascara, choose a non-waterproof formula to protect the lift.
How is a lash lift different from a lash perm?
A lash lift uses a more advanced technique that lifts from the base of the lash rather than wrapping around a rod like a traditional perm. The result is a straighter, more natural upward lift rather than a tight curl, and the keratin formula conditions as it works, which a traditional perm does not.
What should I do before my lash lift appointment?
Come with clean, makeup-free lashes. Remove contact lenses before your appointment and avoid eye creams or serums around the lash line on the day. Arrive with dry lashes, no mascara or oily products.
Is an eyelash lift the same as a lash lift?
Yes, the terms are interchangeable. Both refer to the same treatment, a semi-permanent reshaping of your natural lashes using a keratin formula. Some studios and clients use "eyelash lift," others use "lash lift." At En Beauty, both terms refer to our keratin lash lift and tint.
